Colorado Pain Specialists is proud to have served hundreds of patients each year. The following section highlights the thoughts of many patients whom we have been able to serve.
I have always been a runner and had run two marathons prior to having kids. I just turned 40 in May, 2005 and decided to train and run the Chicago Marathon to celebrate. During my training something went wrong. I was having lower back spasms and was left incapacitated and unable to move. I am a very active person and to be unable to train or even keep up with my two kids was horrible. I started working with a physical therapist, but wasn't getting much relief. Within 24 hours of speaking with CPS I had an MRI which determined that my facet joints were irritated. The first round of injections I had with CPS gave me immediate relief. The pain slowly came back and I underwent a second round of injections to more accurately determine the source of my pain. The second round gave me total pain relief. I was able to continue training and I finished the Chicago Marathon pain free and recorded my best time ever. Colorado Pain Specialists' encouragement gave me hope. They wanted me to get to the Chicago Marathon as much as I did and he helped me get there safely and pain free.

I am a very active person and enjoy running and skiing. I tore the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in my right knee years ago and never had it repaired leading to chronic and painful arthritis.
